New Balance introduces its latest lifestyle model, the 983. A reimagination of 2000s performance running, the 983 combines elements from classic New Balance models to create something wholly new and progressive.
Drawing inspiration from iconic New Balance designs, the 983 feels familiar while redefining everyday style with its own distinctive design language. The shoe explores texture and form, pairing the elliptic shape of the ABZORB SBS pods with wave mouldings along its outsole and midsole, complementing the classic ‘N’ logo on the saddle and rounded overlays along the upper. The result is a silhouette that is sculptural, sophisticated and streamlined. Progressive and evolved, the 983 is in a new dimension.
The global launch campaign brings together New Balance Ambassadors Coco Gauff and Aminé, highlighting their distinct individual aesthetics while showcasing the versatility of the 983. Rooted in the belief that style is never one-dimensional, the campaign celebrates self-expression and individuality, demonstrating how the model seamlessly adapts across a range of looks and personalities. The 983 is designed for those who embrace every facet of their personal style.
“The idea for the campaign actually came from a vision meeting I had with the New Balance team. I thought it would be cool to showcase the different sides of my personality through style,” says Coco. “It was fun bringing the vision to life with Aminé and getting creative with styling the shoe in different ways. I love pieces that are fashion-forward but still easy to wear, and the 983 goes with any outfit.”
The 983 will be available in Malaysia beginning on October 1 at www.newbalance.com.my and in selected New Balance stores nationwide, at a suggested retail price of RM699.
