Megawide declares P0.145/share dividend

MEGAWIDE Construction Corp. will be paying out a cash dividend of P0.145 per share following stronger earnings in 2025 and early 2026.

The listed firm on Tuesday said the dividends would go to shareholders on record as of July 23, 2026, with payment scheduled for Aug. 7.

The payout comes alongside continued execution of the company’s “3-D strategy” — deliver, de-lever and de-carbonize, which Megawide said was aimed at supporting long-term shareholder value creation.

“We purposedly focused on these three legs with the intent of building a more stable and sustainable business platform, a stronger balance sheet, and an ESG-compliant organization,” Megawide Chairman and CEO Edgar Saavedra said.

The company reported a net income of P669 million in 2025, up 24 percent from a year earlier, followed by a 26-percent profit growth in the first quarter this year to P266 million.

Megawide said it remained on track to reach its full-year net income target of P1.2 billion.

Saavedra said growth was supported by a strong pipeline of infrastructure and construction projects, including government-backed housing initiatives and private sector contracts.

Megawide’s order book stood at P48.7 billion as of end-March 2026, covering residential developments under its subsidiary, PH1 World Developers Inc., private commercial and industrial projects, and socialized housing under the expanded 4PH program.

The company also highlighted ongoing transport infrastructure projects, including integrated terminal systems and bus rapid transit developments.

Megawide said it also reduced short-term obligations by around P6 billion as of March 2026, bringing its net debt-to-equity ratio to 0.8 times from 1.1 times at end-2025.

It said the debt reduction program was estimated to generate interest savings of about P250 million to P300 million for the year.

Further debt reduction initiatives are expected to continue throughout 2026 to support liquidity and profitability.

Megawide shares on Tuesday rose P0.18, or 4.93 percent, to close at P3.83 each.
