MEGAWORLD Corp. on Monday said that it would be rolling out AI-powered homes this year, beginning with its Park McKinley West development in Taguig City.

In a stock exchange filing, the company said the integration of a comprehensive AI-powered ecosystem into select properties would be done in partnership with Samsung.

The new homes would feature Samsung’s SmartThings, allowing residents to control and personalize their living spaces through a single app.

The app will take into account automated routines based on time, weather, device status and user behavior, adapting to occupants’ preferences.

Functions include intelligent climate control, adaptive lighting and voice-activated command centers designed to enhance comfort, safety and energy efficiency.

“Innovation is central to Megaworld’s vision of shaping future-ready communities,” said Francis Viernes, the company’s head of business innovation and transformation.

The company said condo buyers can choose to integrate AI-powered Samsung devices, including televisions, air-conditioning units, and washing machines, into their units.

Megaworld noted growing AI adoption among Filipino households, citing a recent study by London-based Public First that found that nearly half of the population engages with AI tools at least once a week.

Megaworld shares closed unchanged at P2.20 each on Monday.
