MELAKA Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh has hinted that the dissolution of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (DUN) is expected to take place in '2 more Fridays'.
According to him, when the time comes, the people need to be smart in choosing leaders who are good at planning and implementing the development agenda.
"Not long now (before the dissolution). I said the other day there were four more Fridays, but now there are only two Fridays left," he said in Kampung Bertam Ulu, Melaka.
“When do you want this, tomorrow? Whatever, whenever, no matter when. Don’t choose red, we choose blue,” he said jokingly.
Yesterday, Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi urged Ab Rauf Yusoh to hurry up and make an announcement regarding the dissolution of the state assembly.
The Deputy Prime Minister said this was to give the people, especially the youth, the opportunity to determine the future of the state. – September 7, 2026
