
A 50-YEAR-OLD man was found dead in a parked car along Jalan Ong Kim Wee in Melaka on Sunday afternoon, authorities confirmed.
Assistant Commissioner Christopher Patit, Chief of Police for Melaka Tengah District, stated that police received a call regarding the incident at 3.10 pm from a passerby who noticed the man was unresponsive inside the vehicle.
“A team from Tengkera Police Station, accompanied by investigative officers and forensic personnel, was immediately dispatched to the scene to conduct a detailed investigation.
“Medical officers from Tengkera Health Clinic who were present at the site confirmed that the 50-year-old man had passed away,” he said.
The body was subsequently transported to the Forensic Medicine Department at Hospital Melaka for a post-mortem examination to establish the cause of death.
The circumstances surrounding the man’s sudden death remain under investigation, with police and forensic teams working to determine whether any foul play or natural causes were involved.
