
MELAKA — The brother of Umno Youth chief Datuk Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh is among 15 candidates announced by Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama) to contest in the upcoming Melaka state election.
Dr Muhammad Solehin Saleh, 40, has been named as the party’s candidate for the Bemban state seat.
He is a medical doctor who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in General Medicine from Universitas Sriwijaya in Indonesia.
He operates his own medical clinic in Merlimau and Muar since 2017.
Bersama founder Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli said the announcement makes the party the first to reveal its candidates and the seats they will contest in the Melaka state election.
Of the 28 state seats the party plans to contest, the 15 announced today are Kuala Linggi, Rembia, Gadek, Machap Jaya, Sungai Udang, Paya Rumput and Klebang.
The other seats are Pengkalan Batu, Ayer Keroh, Bukit Katil, Kesidang, Kota Laksamana, Telok Mas and Serkam.
