PERIKATAN Nasional (PN) has not ruled out the possibility of using the PAS logo or that of another component party for the Melaka State Election, should the PN logo be unavailable due to the Registrar of Societies (RoS) suspension order.
PN Secretary-General Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan stated that using a component party's logo is among the options being considered to ensure continued cooperation among the parties within the coalition.
He noted that coalition parties do not necessarily have to contest under their own individual logos; instead, they could use the logo of one of the parties to demonstrate unity and cooperation.
“In an election, a party does not necessarily have to contest using its own logo.
“They can use the logo of any party that signifies unity or partnership, even if they do not share a single coalition logo,” he said.
Last Tuesday, Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh announced the dissolution of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly, effective Wednesday, paving the way for the 16th Melaka State Election.
Takiyuddin cited the 2018 General Election (GE14) as an example, noting that DAP, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), and Bersatu used the PKR logo at a time when Pakatan Harapan (PH) had not yet adopted a unified logo. – September 26, 2026
