The men's Four Hills ski jumping event in Garmisch-Partenkirchen looks set to go ahead as planned on January 1 after organizers decided not to take the German Ski Association (DSV) to court in a row over revenue.

A court hearing had been scheduled in Munich on Tuesday but a deal was done on Monday between the association and the Partenkirchen ski club, which is responsible for the iconic event.

"We are pleased that, after intensive and constructive talks, it has been possible to find a joint and viable solution for staging the New Year's competition," said DSV board member Andreas Schlütter in a statement.

No details of the agreement were disclosed.

The Four Hills, one of ski jumping's most famous competitions, takes place over the turn of the year in four venues in Germany and Austria. The upcoming tournament is the 75th for the men, while the women will make their Four Hills debut but with a different schedule.
