The 2025 Met Gala has come to a close, marking another year of exquisite outfits and... more questionable choices.

This year’s event in New York City celebrated the opening of the Costume Institute’s forthcoming spring exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” The exhibit focuses almost exclusively on menswear, with a particular emphasis on Black dandyism.

However, the dress code, “Tailored for You,” was “purposefully designed to provide guidance and incite creative interpretation,” according to Vogue. This meant guests could enter the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday in clothes that reflect their personal styles.

We saw everything from spectacular renditions of the classic black-and-white tuxedo to actor Demi Moore channeling a literal tie. Stars also embraced bold interpretations of the gala’s theme, donning colorful blazers, oversized black hats, and striking bodysuits.

The Independent followed along live to bring you all the very best looks from the red carpet. Here are the best-dressed celebrities at the 2025 Met Gala.
