Met Police probe Tice company’s huge donations to Reform UK

  • The Metropolitan Police are investigating donations made to Reform UK by Britain Means Business, a company controlled by the party's deputy leader, Richard Tice.
  • Britain Means Business reportedly made two donations of £250,000 each to Reform UK in the period leading up to the 2024 general election.
  • Mr Tice said that the funds originated from Reform donor Fiona Cottrell, who allegedly gave £1 million to Britain Means Business, with half then transferred to the party.
  • The investigation, launched in February 2025 following a referral from the Electoral Commission, has seen two people interviewed under caution, though no arrests have been made.
  • Reform UK's bank account was reportedly frozen during the last election due to the donations, and the party faces broader scrutiny over its funding.
