KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in five states until 1pm.

In Kedah, the areas expected to be affected are Langkawi, Kubang Pasu and Kota Setar while in Perak it covers Kerian, Larut Matang, Selama, Manjung and Bagan Datuk.
The same warning has been issued for Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor and Klang in Selangor while in Johor it involves Pontian, Kulai, Johor Bahru and Kota Tinggi.
