MetMalaysia issues thunderstorm warning in six states

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in a statement issued at 5.15pm said that in Kedah, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in Bandar Baharu while in Pulau Pinang the same weather conditions is expected in Seberang Perai Tengah and Seberang Perai Selatan.

Perak is also not spared from heavy downpours today, especially in Kerian, Larut, Matang Dan Selama, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim.

MetMalaysia also warned of thunderstorms and heavy rain in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya tonight.
