KUALA LUMPUR – The 59th Malaysia Invitational Age Group (MIAG) Swimming Championships 2024, held at the National Aquatic Centre in Bukit Jalil from April 25 to 28, will serve as a qualifying round for the Olympic Games in Paris.

Malaysia Swimming (MS) secretary-general Andy Low confirmed that the MIAG Swimming Championships were approved as a Paris 2024 qualifier by the World Aquatics last December.

"In addition to qualifying for Paris 2024, the championships will serve as a qualifying meet for the 46th SEA age group competition, which will take place in Thailand this December.

“The event will also be a qualification for any other international competitions as determined by MS,” he said in a statement.
