- Choreographer Michael Flatley has announced the death of his wife, dancer Niamh O'Brien, saying that his “heart is broken”.
- The couple were married for 20 years and had performed together in Lord Of The Dance. They share a son, Michael St James.
- In an Instagram tribute, Flatley said: "She was the most loving mother, wife and person, and our lives will never be the same without her.”
- He added: "Thank you for all the love and kindness you have shown us. Please keep Niamh, Michael St James, and our family in your thoughts and prayers."
- The 68-year-old Riverdance creator rose to fame after performing at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest.
