Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini’s ongoing saga has taken another turn after a reported private boat rental from 2021 resurfaced.
The latest report has gone viral because it adds a new layer to a controversy that has already followed the New England Patriots’ head coach for weeks.
What first started with photos and questions about their past interactions has now expanded into a separate alleged outing from his Tennessee Titans days.
This time, the timing is what has drawn the most attention. Because the reported boat rental allegedly happened while Russini was pregnant.

Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini’s private boat outing goes viral
According to TMZ Sports, Vrabel and Russini rented a boat together in Tennessee in June 2021.
“Add a new chapter to the Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini saga, because TMZ Sports has learned they rented a private boat together for a day on the water … just the 2 of them,” TMZ Sports reported.
“The NFL duo booked the vessel in Putnam County, Tennessee back in June 2021 … according to a source with direct knowledge, who also says the then-Tennessee Titans head coach and the journalist were the only people onboard for their 2-to-3-hour rental,” it added.
TMZ reported that both signed company waivers before the trip, while staffers claimed the pair appeared cautious about photos.
The report also stated that Vrabel was still coaching the Titans at the time, while Russini was working as an NFL reporter.
Pregnancy timing adds another layer to the Mike Vrabel-Dianna Russini controversy
The timing of the outing is what has pushed the story even further online.
“The timing of that outing might raise a few eyebrows, because Russini was pregnant at the time with her first child,” TMZ Sports continued.
“Documents, obtained by TMZ Sports, show both signed the company waiver before heading out on a lake … and our source says there was no visible PDA before they departed,” the report concluded.
The boat report comes after earlier photos and reports involving Vrabel and Russini had already created major attention around the Patriots coach.
Russini later resigned from The Athletic amid an internal review into potential conflicts of interest, while Vrabel addressed the matter as a personal issue and said he had difficult conversations with his family.
The NFL has reportedly not moved toward discipline for Vrabel, and the Patriots have kept him in place as head coach. Still, the resurfaced 2021 boat rental has kept the story alive because it adds another dated incident to the broader timeline.
And with both public interest and online speculation still growing, this controversy does not appear close to fading away.
