MIKHAEL Jasper “Mikee” Mojdeh delivered a sensational performance for Immaculate Heart of Mary College-Parañaque, storming to a five-gold sweep at the Private School Association of Parañaque (PSAP) swimming tournament — the first stage of Palarong Pambansa qualifiying.
The 11-year-old Grade 6 prodigy launched his campaign in dominant fashion, seizing his first gold medal in the elementary boys’ 200m freestyle with a commanding time of 2:31. He kept his foot on the gas, powering to victory in his marquee event—the 200m backstroke—clocking in at 1:21.
Mojdeh completed his clean sweep of all five events by outclassing the field in the 200m individual medley (2:53), 400m freestyle (5:25), and 50m backstroke (36.00).
“These gold medal performances reflect the incredible dedication, discipline, and relentless drive of our athletes. Winning at this level isn’t an accident—it’s the result of hours in the pool, unwavering focus, and a relentless desire to excel,” said BEST team manager Joan Mojdeh.
The triumph was a collective statement for the Behrouz Elite Swimming Team (BEST), as team standout Allen Miguel Fallarcuna, Tiffanie Amatorio, and Ada Leandra De Guzman all put on high-octane performances in their respective divisions.
Fallarcuna dominated his events with a impressive five-gold haul in the 400m freestyle (5:21), 200m butterfly (2:58), 200m individual medley (2:52), 100m butterfly (1:20), and 400m individual medley (6:08).
Amatorio proved unstoppable as well, completing a perfect 5-for-5 sweep in the 50m butterfly (34.00), 200m individual medley (3:00), 100m freestyle (1:12), 50m freestyle (32.00), and 200m freestyle (2:46).
Meanwhile, De Guzman turned in a stellar four-medal campaign, clinching double gold in the 50m breaststroke (47.00) and 100m breaststroke (1:43), alongside silver finishes in the 400m freestyle (7:19) and 100m butterfly (2:08).
“Seeing our swimmers stand on top of the podium makes all the early mornings and intense training sessions worth it. I couldn’t be prouder of the heart, character, and sheer determination our team demonstrated in every event,” added Mojdeh.
Riding high on their PSAP dominance, the BEST tankers now shift their focus to the Palarong Pambansa Division Meet, their crucial stepping stone toward the Regional Meet.
