Mikel Arteta detailed his relationship with Raheem Sterling in a recent press conference, suggesting their time together at Manchester City was “exceptional”.
The England winger, 29, joined Arsenal in a surprise deadline day loan move from Chelsea, meaning he will link up with Arteta once again.
Last week, the Spanish coach was quizzed about Sterling by reporters.
“He was unbelievable at the time we worked together, and he taught me a lot as well about individuals, how players think and how we give them support and help them,” Arteta said.
“He’s someone I have really strong feelings about.”
