Kota Kinabalu: Thailand’s premier trade exhibition, Mini Thailand Week 2025, is set to return bigger and better, transforming Kota Kinabalu into a hub for intra-Asean trade and investment, at Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) here on Sept 26.

Organised by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) Thailand, the three-day event will feature 100 exhibitors across four key industries – food and beverages, wellness, lifestyle and innovation – under the theme “To Inhale Business Opportunities with Thailand.”Building on the success of 2023, this year’s edition aims to strengthen trade relations within the Bimp-Eaga (Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asean Growth Area) and position Kota Kinabalu as a strategic gateway for Thai businesses to connect with buyers from Southeast Asia, East Asia and Australia.

“Mini Thailand Week 2025 exemplifies Thailand’s commitment to deepening economic ties across the region,” said Worawan Wanwil, Director of DITP Malaysia.

“Kota Kinabalu’s location makes it an ideal hub for Thai exporters to showcase innovation, quality and the spirit of ‘Thailand: Kitchen of the World’ directly to Malaysian and regional markets.”Beyond trade, visitors will experience an authentic taste of Thai culture through live cultural performances, interactive cooking demonstrations, Thai massage workshops, art and craft sessions, as well as business matching and product seminars highlighting the latest Thai innovations.

The event is expected to draw key decision-makers and professionals from at least 10 countries and territories, including Brunei, Indonesia, the Philippines, China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Australia. Target visitors range from buyers, manufacturers, investors and policy-makers to business owners, academics and the general public.

As part of Thailand’s broader strategy to expand its regional footprint, Mini Thailand Week 2025 offers an unparalleled platform for forging partnerships and exploring opportunities in one of the world’s fastest-growing markets.
