
SANDAKAN: The Ministry of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship (MIDE) is coordinating several investment opportunities in the state.
Its Minister, Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe, said that among them were two projects in Sipitang involving oil and gas, as well as the Palm Oil Industrial Cluster (POIC) in Lahad Datu, where work will soon commence.
AdvertisementHe also said that the RM30 billion investment would provide benefits to the surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, in POIC Sandakan, two investment coordination efforts involve the proposal for the establishment of a Green Technology Park, along with the use of biomass and related technologies, which will open up local economic opportunities.
