In a statement released by the Alfio Family and Haus of Miss Jade So, they confirmed that Jade is safe and is currently surrounded by loved ones while receiving the care and support she needs as she focuses on her recovery. The statement also emphasized that Jade "does not hold anyone accountable for her emotional distress or the personal crisis she experienced," adding that she was in "an extremely vulnerable and overwhelmed state, crying out for help" during the livestream.
The statement also appealed to the public to stop sharing, recording, or reposting clips from the livestream and urged netizens to respect Jade's privacy. It likewise called on the public to refrain from harassing fellow drag artists Marina Summers, Eva Le Queen, or anyone else mentioned in connection with the incident, stressing that Jade's struggles are "deeply personal and far more complex than any one person or any single event."
Miss Jade So rose to prominence as a Top 4 finalist on the second season of Drag Race Philippines, where she became known for her extraterrestrial-inspired drag, charismatic performances, and advocacy for "doll domination." She is also set to represent the Philippines in the inaugural season of RuPaul's Drag Race: Down Under vs. The World, which premieres on July 24.
