
- British trail runner Alexander Harris, aged 30, has been found dead following a major search operation in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of northern Pakistan.
- Mr Harris, who was originally from Birmingham and held Irish citizenship, went missing on Saturday whilst on Musa Ka Musalla, a mountain peak exceeding 4,000 metres.
- According to the Margalla Trail Runners club, adverse weather conditions and severely reduced visibility caused Mr Harris to stray onto an incorrect trail before falling into a ravine estimated to be 200 feet deep.
- Search teams comprising local police officers and volunteers located his body on a forest track after an extensive search was launched across the area.
- Based in Islamabad where he worked for global advisory firm Adam Smith International, Mr Harris was remembered by his running community for his deep admiration of Pakistan's culture, language, and mountains.
