
Kota Kinabalu: A 45-year-old man who was reported missing while searching for clams at Kg Kebagu Beach on Wednesday night has been found dead.
The Kota Kinabalu Fire and Rescue Station received a distress call at 6.14am on Thursday.
AdvertisementThe complainant, who is the victim’s father-in-law, said they had gone to the beach around 8pm.
They noticed the victim had gone missing at 9.30pm, shortly after they completed their activity.

Read more “A search and rescue operation was immediately launched involving 11 personnel, including two members of the Water Rescue Unit.
“Other agencies involved were the police, marine police, the navy and NGO Jalinan Kasih,” said an agency spokesperson in a statement.

At 11.27am, the navy located the victim’s body 2.5 nautical miles from Kg Wak-Wak waters.
