A MOTHER and her five children who were reported missing earlier this week have been found safe after turning up at the Bentong District Police Headquarters on Wednesday night.

Bentong district police chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar said the family arrived at approximately 9.30pm in good condition, bringing an end to a case that had drawn concern from the local community.

“Preliminary investigations found that the decision to leave the house was due to a family dispute,” he said in a statement today.

Police had earlier received a report at 7.34pm on 30 March from the husband and father of the missing individuals, who stated that his wife and children had left their home in Taman Orkid, Bentong, at around 6.30am the same day.

The case had prompted public attention following reports of the disappearance of the six family members, but authorities confirmed that no criminal elements were detected in the incident.

Zaiham also expressed appreciation to members of the public for their assistance in resolving the case. He thanked residents in Bentong for their cooperation and the information provided, which contributed to the safe outcome. - April 2, 2026
