KENINGAU: A Sabah Electricity worker who was swept away while trying to cross a bridge at Kampung Nuntunan Apin-Apin on Tuesday night was found dead at 6.18pm Thursday.
Keningau Fire and Rescue chief PKPgB Severinus @ Mohd Nidzam Sainkui said the victim, Masedeh Rosmin, 35, was discovered by Team Galen Star in Sungai Kampung Liau Laut during the third day of the search and rescue (SAR) operation.
The search, covering a 40km radius along Sungai Pagalan, focused on Kampung Linsudan after the victim’s shoe was found there, about 21km from where he went missing. Drones were also deployed to aid the operation.
The body was retrieved by firefighters and handed over to the police for further action.
