Located in the lush forests of Belitsa, the Bear Sanctuary Belitsa offers a safe haven for bears previously forced to entertain the public on Balkan streets.
Supported by the global animal welfare group Four Paws and the Fondation Brigitte Bardot, the sanctuary provides regular medical care and natural surroundings where the bears can roam undisturbed.
Once victims of cruel practices, these rescued animals are finally enjoying the life they were long denied.
