
Kota Kinabalu: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) Sabah and Labuan achieved the Key Performance Index (KPI) within six months of being at sea, with the help of 89 assets located off Sabah and Labuan, covering a total of 492 islands.
Its Director, First Admiral Che Engku Suhaimi Che Engku Daik, said MMEA is overseeing the islands off Sabah and Labuan with assets covering 18 ships, 71 boats of which three ships and 15 boats operate in the Eastern Sabah Safe Zone (Esszone).
“Overall, we succeeded despite the constraints,” he said.
