
A moderate 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck near Myanmar’s south coast at 10.05 am today, with no tsunami threat to Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: A moderate earthquake measuring magnitude 5.2 struck near the South Coast of Myanmar at 10.05 am today.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department said in a statement that the quake, at a depth of 10 kilometres (km), occurred 58 km southeast of Rangoon, Myanmar.
However, there is no tsunami threat to Malaysia.
