PUTRAJAYA, April 8 - Three hundred MyStep Hostel Warden Assistants (MyPWA) have been appointed and deployed to boarding schools nationwide from April 1 to improve student safety and ease teachers’ workload.

Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said the MyPWA personnel will assist wardens, particularly in night-time supervision, to ensure boarders’ safety, welfare and well-being.

“The MyPWA initiative will be expanded under efforts aligned with the safety reform agenda across all education institutions under the Education Ministry (MOE),” she said in a statement today.

Fadhlina said the move is also in line with the National Education Blueprint 2026-2035 (RPN), which emphasises the need for subject educators to focus on teaching.
