The Mohali traffic police have transferred Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sohan Lal to the Police Lines after an undated video surfaced on social media alleging he accepted Rs 500 bribe to forgo issuing a traffic challan at Patiala Chowk. Following the uproar, senior police officials released a video statement confirming the ASI’s reassignment pending further investigation.
In the viral clip, the ASI is seen inside the Patiala Chowk traffic beat box with another individual standing nearby.
