
Kota Kinabalu: An alleged victim of a molest case involving a QEH ambulance driver, wished to withdraw the police report against the driver.
The 27-year-old complainant (alleged victim) informed Magistrate Jessica Ombou Kakayun that she went to police station before to do another police report to withdraw her previous report pertaining to the molest case against Sanjay Ganth, 42.
According to the complainant, she wished to withdraw the previous report as she did not want to proceed with the case and said she would not blame the police and the prosecution on her report withdrawal.
The court set today (Friday) to remention the case.
Sanjay Ganth, is accused of molesting the woman at an office of the hospital’s transport unit at 9.30am on June 26, 2021.
He was charged under Section 354 of the Penal Code which provides for a jail term of up to 10 years and whipping, and also liable to a fine, or any two of the punishments, on conviction.
The court ordered for the bail offered to Sanjay to be extended.
