Molly McCann has offered a rare inside look at two of combat sport’s most powerful figures, and her verdict is clear.

The 35-year-old, who transitioned from UFC to boxing after debuting in September 2025, has experienced both Dana White and Eddie Hearn up close. Few fighters can compare the two from direct experience.

Now, with her career moving in a different direction and amid a fiery rivalry between the two businessmen, McCann has opened up on how each promoter operates.

Speaking about her experiences, McCann made it clear that Hearn’s approach feels more accessible and organised.

However, she did not criticise White, conceding that he was always polite when meeting or speaking about her.

“I think Eddie is a bit more personable, if I would have an open line of contact to him and if I need anything he’d say, ‘Just get on me let me know’. But I normally just go to Frank because I know how busy and how stressed he is. Eddie has given me a bit more of a structured way to the top,” the 35-year-old told Boxing Scene.

“With Dana, it was never that personable, but on the occasions I met him, about eight to ten times, he was lovely to me. In interviews about me he was always complimentary. He’s like: ‘If you don’t love Molly McCann there’s something wrong with you.’”

Molly McCann admits UFC matchmaking did not suit her style

While respectful of White, McCann did point to one lingering frustration from her UFC run. It was not about treatment, but about opportunity.

She added: “The only kind of neg with Dana would be, stylistically, I’m a certain style and I wasn’t given styles that helped me out. I can’t really be upset about it but that’s the only bit where I just think: ‘Oh do you know if it was a little bit different, I could have got a little bit somewhere.’”

Her 7-7 record reflects that balance between competitiveness and missed chances. It also explains why a fresh start in boxing, under a different system, holds clear appeal.
