MONDE Nissin Corp. posted a 20.8-percent increase in reported net income to P8.1 billion in the first nine months of 2026, accelerating from the 9.6-percent growth recorded in the same period last year, as higher sales and improved gross profit supported earnings.
In a disclosure on Wednesday, the food manufacturer said consolidated revenue rose 7.3 percent to P67.9 billion from P63.3 billion a year earlier.
Core net income attributable to shareholders, which excludes certain items, increased by 16.1 percent to P8.3 billion, reversing the previous year’s 3.5-percent decline to P7.2 billion.
Gross profit climbed 13.4 percent to P23.8 billion, while core earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) rose 9.8 percent to P13 billion.
For the third quarter, consolidated revenue increased 8.2 percent to P23.6 billion, while core net income attributable to shareholders grew 16.2 percent to P2.9 billion.
But reported net income for the quarter was flat, up by a minimal 0.5 percent year on year to P2.3 billion, partly due to a noncash loss of P513 million from the fair value measurement of a guaranty asset related to its protein business.
Monde Nissin’s Asia-Pacific branded food and beverage business recorded a 6.5-percent increase in nine-month net sales to P56.8 billion.
Domestic sales rose 6.7 percent to P53.5 billion, with the company reporting 9.7-percent sequential growth in the third quarter from the previous quarter, driven by volume growth across all categories.
Gross profit in the segment increased 9.6 percent to P20.3 billion, while gross margin expanded by 101 basis points to 35.8 percent, mainly due to pricing actions, cost management initiatives and lower coconut oil costs.
The company’s protein business, which includes meat-alternative brand Quorn, also reported improved profitability, with nine-month revenue up 2.2 percent on a constant-currency basis, while gross profit climbed 41.3 percent to P3.5 billion.
Core Ebitda in the segment more than doubled to P904 million from P420 million, while earnings before interest and taxes turned positive to P319 million against a loss of P79 million a year earlier.
Monde Nissin CEO Henry Soesanto said the protein business maintained positive earnings before interest and taxes for the third consecutive quarter, reflecting the benefits of its transformation initiatives, cost management and Positive Protein strategy.
Meanwhile, the company’s board on Nov. 3 approved a cash dividend of P0.26 per common share, to be paid on Dec. 23 to shareholders on record as of Nov. 25.
As of end-September, Monde Nissin reported P16.2 billion in cash and cash equivalents, and outstanding debt of P2.4 billion. Its net debt-to-equity ratio stood at 0.08, while operating cash flow reached P11 billion in the first nine months.
The company’s shares on Wednesday rose P0.05, or 0.85 percent, to close at P6.00 each.
