After reading an exposè from WORLD OF BUZZ in Newswav, I must share this age-old tradition of money laundering – not the shady, under-the-table kind, mind you, but the hygiene-obsessed canteen staff kind.

You see, in our youthful innocence, we once thought money laundering was about scrubbing dollar bills to a sparkling clean sheen, ensuring the face of our King was free of greasy fingerprints and smudges. Little did we know, the real world had more sinister definitions in store for us.

The revelation came to light thanks to the Viral 25 and Berani Viral Facebook pages, those vigilant guardians of all things viral-worthy. They recently shared a video of canteen staff going about their curious daily routine – washing their hard-earned bank notes.

Why, you ask? Well, because money is apparently as dirty as a teenager's bedroom and germophobes beware, this might just ruin your appetite for currency.

The daring caption accompanying this aquatic spectacle exclaimed, "Oh my, check out the residue for yourselves!"

And boy, was there residue to behold. In the video, these diligent keepers of cleanliness can be seen submerging their precious banknotes into a massive basin of water. It's a spa day for your wallet!

As the money took its plunge, the water transformed into a murky, brownish concoction that was practically opaque. A compelling testament to the filthy secrets these bills have been harbouring. Watch video clip here: https://fb.watch/nlW5_MKK4I/?mibextid=2Rb1fB

At this point, you might be asking yourself, "Should I start laundering my money too?"

After all, who wants to touch a RM10 that's been sneezed on, sat on, and who knows what else?

The canteen staff wasn't content with just a dip; they lovingly wiped their sopping cash before laying it out on a platter like a spread of fine china at a fancy party, letting it dry off in style.

So, there you have it, folks. While some of us are busy trying to save our money, others are saving their money from itself – one splash at a time.

Who knew that battling inflation also meant battling germs?

Perhaps it's time we all consider opening our very own currency spa. After all, in a world where cleanliness is next to godliness, why should our dollars be any different?

Money laundering – the unexpected path to a cleaner, wealthier you!
