Kota Kinabalu: The Montfort Youth Training Centre (MYTC) will hold its 16th Annual Open House Bazaar at its Residential Campus in Kinarut, Papar, on Aug 10.

Running from 8am to 2pm, the event is open to the public and promises a lively day of community spirit, food and creative showcases.

This year’s theme, “Small Actions, Big Impact”, encourages environmentally-friendly practices. Visitors are urged to bring their own shopping bags and food containers.

Live entertainment will be provided by Canang Busker in Costume, a local group blending traditional instruments with light-hearted performances to reflect Sabah’s rich cultural heritage.

Admission is free and funds raised will go towards supporting MYTC’s vocational training programmes for underprivileged youth aged 16 to 22.

Founded in 1999, MYTC equips marginalised youth with technical skills and character formation through courses such as motor vehicle mechanics, welding, carpentry and facilities maintenance.
