Kota Kinabalu: The State Chief Syarie Judge now has the authority to issue directions or practice directions relating to the administration, conduct or procedure of the Syariah Court following the passing of the Bill to amend the Syariah Courts Enactment 2004 at the State Legislative Assembly, here.
Speaker Datuk Kadzim Yahya announced the passing of the Bill after a majority of the members in the House agreed for the amendment to the enactment which is now cited as the Syariah Courts Enactment (Amendment) 2022 and comes into operation on July 15, this year.
