Manchester United's departing chief executive Richard Arnold has become the first victim of the behind the scenes changes at the club.

United are on the verge of bringing in INEOS chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe as an investor.

Ratcliffe is buying 25 percent of the Glazer family's controlling shares in the Old Trafford side.

Per The Mirror, Arnold departing is a clear sign that Ratcliffe will be stamping his authority on the footballing department.

United Football Director John Murtough and Director of Football Operations David Harrison are both at risk as well.

Ratcliffe wants to bring in his own men, with Jean-Claude Blanc one who has been mentioned.
