Mother and children stuck inside burning building saved in dramatic rescue

A police officer rushed into a burning building to rescue a mother and her two children in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Video shared by Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) shows Officer Rogers kicking down the door and helping safely remove the occupants from the property, as flames lapped around them on 1 May.

No injuries were reported from the blaze.

The force said, “Police are not trained in firefighting, but they do take an oath to serve and protect.

“Thank you Officer Rogers for your bravery and dedication to serving our community. CPD is proud to have exemplary officers like you.”
