The mystery of a viral video showing a girl crying while covered in blood next to the body of a woman in an incident in Kampung Titingan, Tawau, Sabah on Thursday has finally been answered.
The event reportedly took place at around 7 o'clock, and the woman involved is believed to have been robbed before having her throat cut and being left for dead in front of a derelict building.
The gruesome video of the murder was posted online and went viral in no time. The video was at first such a mystery as the woman's identity and the video's legitimity was unknown. However, after deep investigation, it is revealed that the video is indeed legit and a real murder had took place in front of the victim's daughter.
The 24-second video shows the poor child crying while looking at his dead mother. The incident was successfully recorded by people who were at the scene.
It is understood that the 30-year-old woman involved is not a local citizen and is believed to be on her way to her family member's house which is located 300 metres from her rented house in Kampung Titingan.
"However, upon arriving at the area, the criminals involved stole the necklace and earrings worn by the victim.
"The victim's neck is believed to have been slashed using a sharp object, causing injury and bleeding, and ended up with her death" he told.
The victim was reported dead at the scene as a result of the event, the source claimed. The little girl involved, who was unharmed, is believed to be the kid of the victim.
He said: "The police are currently looking into this, and there are attempts being made to find the offender."
