KOTA KINABALU: A motorcyclist in his 30s died after skidding on a damaged road near the Lido flyover on Jalan Lintas at approximately 11.15am Monday.
Initial investigations revealed the rider was travelling from City Mall towards Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) when he hit a pothole in the middle lane, lost control, and skidded about six metres before collapsing unconscious.
AdvertisementHe sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1 for emergency treatment.
At about 1.35pm, hospital authorities confirmed that the victim succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
