
PAPAR: A 54-year-old foreigner was killed while another was seriously injured in a collision involving two motorcycles along the Pan Borneo Highway, near Kampung Andus, here, on Sunday.
District Police Chief Supt Kamaruddin Ambo Sakka said the 6.30pm incident occurred when the deceased – with a pillion rider – heading towards Kimanis from Andus collided with another motorcycle heading in the opposite direction.
He said initial investigation showed the other motorcyclist – a 14-year-old – who was from the Benoni direction lost control.
“The impact caused the elder motorcyclist to suffer serious injuries and was pronounced dead by a medical officer from Papar Hospital,” he said.
