Motorcycle taxi service Move It has introduced a new line of commuter essentials designed to help passengers deal with unpredictable weather and long commutes, with the products now available exclusively through GrabMart.
Called Ride-Ready, the collection includes a packable rain jacket, a scarf or cap that can also be used as a helmet liner, and a refresh kit containing travel-size alcohol spray, cooling wipes and tissue.
The launch comes as motorcycle taxis continue to gain popularity among commuters navigating Metro Manila's worsening traffic. According to Move It, the platform posted a 20 percent increase in monthly users during the first half of the year compared with the same period last year.
The company said feedback from riders showed that sudden rain showers, extreme heat and concerns over shared helmet hygiene remain among the common reasons some commuters hesitate to book motorcycle taxi rides.
"Filipino commuters have become extraordinarily good at adapting to city life. What they should not have to accept is arriving at a meeting soaked, or starting the afternoon already behind," Move It General Manager Wayne Jacinto said.
"Ride-Ready is a practical answer to that. We want our passengers to step off the ride the same way they left the house," he added.
To introduce the new products, Move It mounted interactive Ride-Ready booths in selected office buildings in Makati, Bonifacio Global City, Ortigas and Cebu City from June to July. Commuters were able to claim Ride-Ready items at the booths and book motorcycle taxi rides on-site.
The Ride-Ready collection has been available on GrabMart since July 13, with individual items starting at P275. The company is also offering bundled packages that combine multiple essentials at discounted prices.
Move It said the initiative aims to make daily motorcycle taxi rides more convenient by helping commuters stay dry, comfortable and prepared despite changing weather conditions.
