MANILA, Philippines — The Manila Police District (MPD) said it has “enough personnel” covering the "Interfaith Rally Against Corruption” by the United People’s Initiative (UPI) at Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila on Friday.
MPD Spokesman Philipp Ines told The Manila Times that "security coverage is in place…the number of personnel is sufficient.”
The UPI said its rally aims to seek justice, accountability, responsible governance, and national unity and is “open to everyone regardless of political affiliation, religion, or ideology.”
The rally will last until 11 p.m. on Friday.
