MPSepang issues notices to tenants for breaching rental agreements

SHAH ALAM, July 19: The Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang) has issued 121 compliance reminder notices to tenants of its premises found to have breached the terms of their tenancy agreements.

They were issued during a Tenancy Agreement Compliance Enforcement Operation carried out by its Valuation and Property Management Department from July 7 to July 9.

"The inspection involved checks across three zones, namely the North, South, and Central zones, covering premises such as food courts, hawker centres and kiosks.

"Also inspected were council-owned shop lots, small and medium industrial areas, as well as temporary settlement sites," it said in a statement.

MPSepang added that similar enforcement operations will continue from time to time to ensure tenants comply with all conditions stipulated in their tenancy agreements, while also strengthening governance and the management of council-owned properties.

"This is among MPSepang's ongoing efforts to ensure that every tenant of council-owned premises complies with the tenancy conditions.

"It also ensures that the management of council assets is carried out in a more orderly, integrity-driven manner and in accordance with the applicable provisions," it said.
