PUTRAJAYA: Malaysian Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick described the 2023 budget as friendly to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that can empower the sector.
He said MSMEs contributed 38 per cent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and 48 per cent of the country’s workforce.
“The budget drives the Madani agenda as the basis of governance which also introduces governance reforms including ensuring procurement through transparent tenders and also a corruption-free agenda in the implementation of this budget,” he said.
