Kota Kinabalu: Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Phoong Jin Zhe praised the 2023 Madani Budget, saying it has shown a commitment to empower Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
He commended the move to provide savings of up to RM3,000 to each of 150,000 MSME taxpayers, as the tax rate on the first 150,000 taxable income will be reduced from 17 per cent to 15 per cent.
He echoed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s sentiments that MSMEs play an important role in driving Malaysia’s economic growth.
