
New York-based investment fund MSP Sports Capital are set to buy a minority stake in Everton.
Per the Liverpool Echo, the negotiations for the deal are at an advanced stage at present.
MSP have been discussing terms with Everton's majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri.
The sports investment firm has put money in the McLaren Formula One team and the X Games.
They also have football investments in German side FC Augsburg, G.D. Estoril Praia in Portugal, Spain's AD Alcorcon and Belgian side SK Beveren.
Per Financial Times, they had also been assessing a takeover of Tottenham, but were told the club is not for sale.
