Kota Kinabalu: The National School Sports Council (MSSM) golf competition plays an important role in the development of young golfers.

Sabah Golf Association president Nash Hon in a statement released on Tuesday said they fully support the annual tournament as it provides a pivotal role that will shape the future of junior golfers.

This followed the selection of 18 junior golfers by the Sabah School Sports Council (MSSS) to represent the State at the MSSM golf tournament scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur from September 19-21.

“Only the finest junior golfers are selected to compete on the national stage. The significance of MSSM is similar to Sukma and it represents a pinnacle achievement in these young athletes’ careers.
