Kota Kinabalu: Moyog Assemblyman Pritchard Arthur Gumbaris urged the State Government to take immediate action to address the dire parking conditions at Hospital Queen Elizabeth 1 (QEH1).
He said numerous complaints were received from the public on the need for a multi-story parking facility to alleviate congestion and improve access to the hospital.
Advertisement“The congested traffic due to parking unavailability causes significant inconvenience to visitors, especially those attending routine check-ups. In emergency cases, this congestion and lack of parking space could mean someone’s life is at stake,” Pritchard said.
“Vehicles parked by the roadside risk being issued summonses by police or local authorities, and some have even been scratched by larger vehicles passing by,” he said.
