The mother of Nicolo Zaniolo has sought to clarify his on-off move to Bournemouth.
The former Roma star left for Galatasaray last week, having initially turned down a move to Bournemouth before trying to revive in the final days of the January market.
Francesca Zaniolo told Il Corriere dello Sport: "I want to clarify one aspect: Nicol would have reduced his salary, or would have asked for the same money as Roma, for Milan or Tottenham. But those clubs didn't find an agreement with the Giallorossi club.
"At that point there was Bournemouth: it's not true that they offered us five million a season, but whatever. Subsequently he accepted Bournemouth's offer, but when we called them back they had already taken another one."
