- Janice Beare, a mother-of-five from Redruth, Cornwall, has won a £300,000 top prize on a National Lottery Tinsel Trail Scratchcard.
- She purchased the winning scratchcard at a local Co-op after changing her plans when she could not find her preferred Meal Deal.
- Ms Beare used part of her winnings to replace her 20-year-old Vauxhall Corsa with a brand-new car to help manage her mobility challenges.
- She also treated her family by buying a new washing machine for her daughter and taking her mother on a Christmas shopping trip to London.
- The lottery winner says being able to buy a new car has been ‘life changing’ and that this year’s Christmas would be even more special.
